Review: Elf Eyeshadow Duo in Black Liconce and Butter Pecan + Swatches!

Hello everyone! Yesterday, I went shopping with my sister and we went to the Elf counter just to look at some eye shadows. I was never really a fan of Elf eye shadows because they are not always up to what they look like, so it has been a while since I bought eye shadows from Elf. But I've never tried their Eyeshadow Duo collection before so I decided to give it a try.

I picked up Butter Pecan, which consist of 2 brown colors. One has a matte peachy tone and the other one is shimmery golden brown.

I swatched the two colors on my arm (excuse my hairy arm!!) and I was amazed at how this one does live up to their expectations. Both colors are very pigmented, bear in mind that I only rubbed my finger once. So it must be brighter if I rub my finger a lot more times. I am not disappointed at all.

The next duo that I bought was Black Liconce. One of the duo has a matte, blue-grey color and the other one has shimmery black color. Again, both of these are very pigmented, these colors are great for a night out!

The grey color is kind of metallic which is great because if I put this on my lid, it's going to bring more dimensions to my eyes. While the black color, I can use it for eyeliner if I'm lazy to pop some gel.

Well, overall I'm not disappointed, Elf has improved a lot in their eyeshadows and I am very pleased. These eyeshadows manifested a good appearance and I would totally recommend this to everyone.

Question time! Would you buy these collection?

See you soon,

  1. I've never tried Elf before as it isn't available in my country... But I wouldn't think I would buy these just because I have similar shades of eyeshadow from other brands.
I have a giveaway on my blog, if you're interested :)

  2. I agree! There are other brands that provide similar colors with better quality.

Sure, I'll check it out :)

I've seen this before but I was afraid to try it because I wasn't sure if the pigments of the eyeshadow is good. I now have the courage to try this because of your review! Thank you for your review!
